Hesperia World strengthens its commitment to integrity and regulatory compliance

In an increasingly demanding business environment, where transparency and responsibility are essential values, at Hesperia World we continue to move forward steadily in strengthening our compliance culture. The recent follow-up audit conducted by AENOR has confirmed that our criminal and tax Compliance systems continue to meet the highest standards of quality and best practices, established by the UNE 19601 and UNE 19602 standards, respectively.

This successfully passed audit not only validates the effectiveness of our management systems but also reaffirms our commitment to a way of doing business based on integrity, prevention, and responsibility.

What do the UNE 19601 and UNE 19602 certifications mean?

These standards represent the most solid reference framework for regulatory compliance in Spain:

  1. UNE 19601 focuses on the prevention of criminal offenses within organizations. Its objective is to promote ethical and responsible conduct at all levels, avoiding situations that could compromise legality and corporate reputation.
  2. UNE 19602, on the other hand, establishes guidelines for managing tax risk. Through this standard, we work to ensure a transparent and proactive relationship with the Tax Administration, anticipating potential contingencies and fostering a culture of tax compliance.

Both certifications were obtained in May 2024, and the positive outcome of the audit conducted in 2025 strengthens our commitment to maintaining and evolving these standards over time.

A cross-functional and integrated model

At Hesperia World, compliance is not an isolated task but a shared responsibility that is part of our daily operations and strategic decisions. The Compliance Committee, made up of representatives from key areas — Finance, Human Resources, Internal Audit, and Legal Counsel — ensures that this culture is present throughout the entire organization.

As Pablo Macías, Legal Counsel and member of the Compliance Committee, expresses:

“This achievement reflects Hesperia World’s commitment to consolidating an organizational culture based on legality, integrity, and responsibility, and to continuously advancing towards the highest standards of corporate ethics, tax transparency, and sustainability.”

Commitment to Good Governance and Sustainability

The strength of our Compliance systems reinforces one of the essential pillars of the ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) model: Governance. In a world where companies must be accountable not only to the markets but also to society, having robust control and regulatory compliance structures enables us to build a modern, trustworthy company prepared for the challenges of today’s environment.

At Hesperia World, we firmly believe that sustainability and regulatory compliance are not final goals, but ongoing processes of improvement. We will continue working with determination to ensure that ethics, transparency, and good governance remain the foundation of everything we do.
